The best window is 5 to 14 days after your baby’s birth. At this time, babies sleep more soundly and prefer to curl and tuck in, which is the perfect chance to get those sweet, peaceful positions.
How long does a typical newborn photography session last?
Newborn photo shoots take about 3-4 hours. This allows us to take our time around your baby’s feeding and sleeping schedule so they’re well-rested and relaxed for every photo.
Can siblings and other family members be part of the photo session?
Yes! Including the parents and siblings is the best way of sharing the love and bonding among your growing family. We welcome everyone who wants to be included in the memories.
What should we bring to the studio for our session?
We provide all that you need, including props, wraps, and backdrops. You can bring along any personal item you would like us to include, such as a cherished family heirloom or a favorite blanket.
Is your studio set up to ensure baby safety during shoots?
Yes, you and the baby are our number one priority when it comes to safety. We use baby-safe props in our studio, and I am first-aid trained for babies. We are always gentle and careful to ensure you and your newborn are comfortable and safe.
What happens if my baby is awake or fussy during the session?
That’s totally fine! We’re super patient and accommodating, allowing your baby to acclimate. Often the best pictures are taken when the baby is in sleep, and we’ll work around the session to get those special shots as well.
Do you offer other photography services besides newborn sessions?
Yes! We also offer maternity photography, family portraits, and fun cake smash photo sessions to complete your baby’s first birthday, and other milestone celebrations.

A: Once you fill out the contact form, we can schedule a short phone call (or communicate via email) to answer any questions you may have and discuss your expectations.
If you decide I’m the right newborn photographer for you, I will send you a contract to sign and a link for the first payment.
Next, we’ll have a longer meeting to discuss your set-ups, ideas, and details. Together, we will build your session workflow, and make your photo experience just for you.
I’ll also help you prepare yourself and your family before the session date. On the day of your session, I’ll guide you through each pose to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
After 3 days of your session, you will receive a proof gallery to make your selections. Once your choices are finalized, you’ll receive all of your fully retouched photos within 15 days.
