When is the best time to schedule a newborn photo session?
The best window is 5 to 14 days after your baby’s birth. At this time, babies sleep more soundly and prefer to curl and tuck in, which is the perfect chance to get those sweet, peaceful positions.
How long does a typical newborn photography session last?
Newborn photo shoots take about 3-4 hours. This allows us to take our time around your baby’s feeding and sleeping schedule so they’re well-rested and relaxed for every photo.
Can siblings and other family members be part of the photo session?
Yes! Including the parents and siblings is the best way of sharing the love and bonding among your growing family. We welcome everyone who wants to be included in the memories.
What should we bring to the studio for our session?
We provide everything you might need during the session, napkins, diapers, diaper cream, and more—so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience. If your baby uses a specific brand of products, feel free to bring those along for extra comfort. We also recommend bringing enough milk for at least three full feedings, as babies often feed more during a photo session to stay calm.
How do you ensure my baby’s safety during posing?
We always wait until your baby is fully relaxed before gently moving our hands away. Since newborn movements are mostly unconscious, we take extra care to ensure your little one is safe and supported at all times. This is also why we recommend scheduling sessions when your baby is between 5–14 days old, as newborns are more likely to settle easily and remain comfortable during posing.
In rare cases when a baby doesn’t relax or fall asleep despite all efforts, we simply adapt by wrapping them snugly. This creates a secure environment that keeps your baby comfortable even when awake.
What happens if my baby is awake or fussy during the session?
In most cases, we simply spend extra time helping your baby settle into sleep. We are always patient and accommodating, allowing your little one to adjust at their own pace. For older babies, falling asleep may take a bit longer—but even if they don’t sleep, that’s perfectly fine! We’ll create beautiful wrapped and wide-awake images that capture their personality just as naturally.
Do you offer other photography services besides newborn sessions?
Yes! Our services cover every stage of your baby’s journey, from maternity and newborn to milestones, cake smash, and family portraits. I’m here to grow with your little one and capture each chapter of their story along the way.

A: Once you fill out the contact form, we can schedule a short phone call (or communicate via email) to answer any questions you may have and discuss your expectations.
If you decide I’m the right newborn photographer for you, I will send you a contract to sign and a link for the first payment.
Next, we’ll have a longer meeting to discuss your set-ups, ideas, and details. Together, we will build your session workflow, and make your photo experience just for you.
I’ll also help you prepare yourself and your family before the session date. On the day of your session, I’ll guide you through each pose to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
After 3 days of your session, you will receive a proof gallery to make your selections. Once your choices are finalized, you’ll receive all of your fully retouched photos within 15 days.
